The Hidden Lives of Sex Workers in Teesside

The Hidden Lives of Sex Workers in Teesside

Peer Talk: Hidden Stories is a Participatory Research project with women over 18 involved in sex work in Teesside.

A Way Out and Barnardos SECOS sponsored by the Northern Rock foundation are doing a research project supported by Maggie O'Neill and Alison Jobe  at Durham University that looks at the lives and needs of women who sell or exchange sex in Teesside. We call the project Peer Talk because we are working with women in the community  who are trained in participatory action research methods and undertaking interviews with 'buddies' based in the projects.
